1. Bookings

• All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
• A booking is only secured once payment of the deposit (if applicable) has been received.
• You must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation.

2. Deposits & Payments

• A deposit may be required at the time of booking. The deposit amount will be stated during the booking process.
• The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to check-in (unless otherwise agreed in writing).
• Failure to pay the balance may result in cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of the deposit.

3. Refunds & Cancellations

Guest cancellations:

• If you cancel at least 24 hours before check-in, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid (excluding any non-refundable fees stated at the time of booking).
• If you cancel on the day of check-in, you will not be entitled to a refund for that night's stay. However, you may receive a 50% refund for any unused nights of your booking.

Provider cancellations:

• In the rare event that ShortStayss must cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.
• Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used at the time of booking.

4. Check-in & Check-out

• Check-in and check-out times will be provided in your booking confirmation.
• Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and may incur additional charges.

5. Guest Responsibilities

Guests agree to:

• Treat the property and its contents with respect.
• Abide by any house rules provided at the property.
• Not cause nuisance or disturbance to neighbours.
• Be liable for any damage caused to the property during their stay.

6. Security Deposits

• A security deposit may be required and will be notified at the time of booking.
• The deposit will be fully refunded after check-out if no damage is found, no items are missing, and no excessive cleaning is required.
• Guests are strongly encouraged to take pictures of the property at check-in as proof of its condition. This helps protect both parties if there is any dispute about damages.
• If deductions are required (for damage, missing items, or extra cleaning), evidence will be provided. Any remaining balance of the deposit will then be returned.

7. Liability

• ShortStayss is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to guests' personal property during their stay.
• We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or utility failures.

8. Termination of Stay

ShortStayss reserves the right to terminate a stay without refund if guests:

• Breach these Terms, or
• Engage in illegal, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour.
